No Entry - Cafe

Finally the day had arrived. It was just like Fredrick Armstrong had imagined. It was a promising bright day. The day's temperature was just right; not too hot and not too cool. Fredrick got dressed and headed for the front door. His appointment was for an hour past noon. He had time to enjoy the city before his appointment. He usually took the bus and the train on that route but since the day's temperature was just perfect, he decided he was going to keep his heart healthy by taking a long stroll.

His first stop was his favourite cafe just about five minutes from his apartment building. He entered and ensured he greeted everyone. 'It would not hurt to make other people happy today, let the love go round', Fredrick thought. Alex was at the till when Fredrick was about to make an order. 'Would you like to have your regular or the house's special today, Fredrick?', Alex asked. 'Since today is the day I have been looking forward to, let's make it extra special', Fredrick replied smiling. While his order was been prepared, he kept a conversation running with Alex. Alex was grateful for the company for it had been a while anyone that came into the cafe took any interest in his personal life. Fredrick's order came and he moved to his favourite spot but not before promising Alex to be more in touch with him. His favourite spot was just in a corner by the window where he could see the activities going on outside the cafe. Some passers-by seemed like they were in a hurry to get to work. Some appeared to be struggling with issues and Fredrick wished he could just share a bit of his excitement with them. Some of the passers-by looked as happy as he felt. Fredrick wished Anne did not have an appointment this morning. He always shared his special moments with his long term girlfriend, Anne. This was the very first special moment he could not share with her. 'Oh well! I will take note of every tiny detail so I can paint pictures with my words later for my beloved, Anne'. The thought of Anne always made him warm up from inside out. He literally got warm on the skin whenever he thought about her. 'Oh Fredrick's Anne! My passionate fire that warms my soul'. Fredrick finished his meal and called for his bill leaving a generous tip for the waiter.
